Welcome to our series of videos with PHC-BR today we are going to talk about a very important business strategy we have been using successfully for the past 4 years. This can certainly help you attract more clients for your business. Its called the Freemium Model.
What is freemium?
The word freemium is a combination of the wordsfree and premium.
It describes a business model in which you give a core product away for free to a large group of
users and sell premium products to a smaller fraction of this user base.
A well known example of a freemium business model is Skype which provides free computer to computer calling and sells premium products in the form of voicemail, conference calls and world wide connection to landlines and mobile phones.
Freemium is not…
… the same as a free trial:
A common misconception is that freemium includes or consists of a free trial period though this is not the case. The difference is that a free trial allows a user to test a product or service for a limited time before buying the actual product.
A freemium model on the other hand provides a product or service that is always free and the premium part comes from offering the free platform of users additional products or services that for a fee can expand or improve their experience. So just because a free product appears in a business model does not make it freemium.

Ask yourself three questions to help you get where you want:
1) What is my goal?
2) What do I have to do to achieve the goal?
3) Who do I have to be to get there?
Building an international business can be risky if you do not communicate on a daily basis with your customers and employees. The bigger your business grows the bigger will be the problems and you will definitely fail if you leave your entire business on your employees hands.
In this video I went to consult an international logistic company in Santos – São Paulo called Visão Transporte and what I’ve learned in two weeks was enough for me to open my own logistic company. The problem of Visã0 Transporte was the rapid grow of over 200% this year plus they went from 1 employee to 15 in one year, this means lots of change were happening in their work environment. My take away from this awesome experience is this:
1- Talk to your employees on a daily basis.
2- Identify their problems.
3- Create goals based on their needs.
4- Take action solve their problems.

Ask any employee whether their happiness makes for a great business strategy. They’ll all answer “Yes.” When we feel better at work, we also perform better at work. Nobody likes to work in an environment where its not pleasing and does not have a vision, by empowering your employees and tapping into their intrinsic motivation, your company will benefit a thousand fold.
